Bronx, NY---In a closely contested conference matchup, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team put up a valiant effort on the road, but was eventually outlasted by Lehman College on Saturday, 86-78. BC falls to 3-18 overall and 1-10 in CUNYAC with the loss while the Lightning improves to 15-7 and 9-2 respectively. Next Up: Brooklyn wraps up their four-game road swing at Hunter on Tuesday at 7pm.
The Rundown
- Trailing the home team 80-76, Brooklyn junior guard, Malik Dale, cut Lehman's lead to two on a fastbreak finish with 1:15 to go in the contest. Brooklyn missed a couple of opportunities and the Lightning went 6-6 from the charity stripe in the final minute of play to close out the contest.
- Brooklyn led by as many as 11 points in the first half and held on to a 45-39 halftime advantage. Lehman opened the second half with a 7-0 run to take their first lead of the contest since the 11:48 mark in the first half. with the scored tied, 65-65, with 9:27 to go following a make in the paint finished by sophomore guard, David McFadden, the Lightning grabbed the lead for good beginning with a 5-0 run.
- Brooklyn shot 40.7% from behind the arc to Lehman's 28%. Lehman shot 15-19 from the free throw line to BC's 7-12.

- Senior guard, Kayin Olajide, scored a team-high 28 points 10-13 shooting from the field including 4-7 from three. He also dished out 5 assists, grabbed 5 boards, and came up with 4 steals.
- Dale added 15 points and knocked down three shots from beyond the arc.
- Senior forward, Elisha Park, chipped in 12 points and came up with 3 steals.

- Isaiah Geathers scored a game-high 30 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
- Kai Parris added 16 points wgile shooting 7-9 from the field and grabbed 7 rebounds.
