Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-20) shutout over Pratt in the Bulldogs' Home Opener on Tuesday. Brooklyn improves to 4-3 overall with the non-conference win while the Cannoneers drop to 0-6 to start the season. It is BC's second win over Pratt on the season. Next Up: Brooklyn remains home on Thursday to host Sarah Lawrence for another non-conference match beginning at 7pm.
The Rundown
- Brooklyn jumped out to a 12-2 lead to start the match capped by back-to-back service aces served up by junior outside hitter, Armand Kaloshi. The Bulldogs closed out the first set with a four-point rally sparked by a kill put away by Tommy Min. BC got out to another big lead in the second set, grabbing a 20-8 advantage down the stretch. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead in the match on a Zhao Ming Li kill. BC started the third set in complete control, leading 12-3 before the visitors chipped away at the lead, to eventually trail 20-19. However, the Bulldogs used a four-score rally capped by a Wai Lin kill before winning the match on a Pratt attack error.
