Brooklyn Downed at Home Against Purchase

Brooklyn College Field (Brooklyn, NY)----Facing a high-octane offensive attack, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to Purchase College in non-conference play on Saturday.  Brooklyn moves to 0-3 to start the season while the Panthers improve to 3-1.

  • BC remains home on Wednesday, 9/20, for another non-conference matchup against Pratt at 4pm. 
How it Happened
  • PC's Ermin Mackic scored his first of the three goals on the day in the 20th minute for a 1-0 advantage.  Liam George scored the game-winner on an assist from Mackic. 
  • The Panthers scored two goals in the first two minutes of the second half for a comfortable 4-0 lead. 
  • Trailing 5-0, the Bulldogs avoided the shutout as sophomore midfielder, Bradlej Cupi, pushed a through ball to freshman midfielder, Seif Mohktar in 80'. 
  • The Panthers outshot the Bulldogs 19-12 on the afternoon. 
For the Bulldogs
  • Both of Mohktar's shots were on-frame. 
  • Freshman midfielder, George Koufos, finished with four shots with a pair on-goal. 
  • Junior forward, Jasper Ehrhardt, had both of his shots saved.
