Brooklyn Rolls to First Win of Season Over Medgar Evers on Fan Appreciation Day

Brooklyn, NY----Scoring quickly and often, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team rolled to a 6-0 win in their conference opener over Medgar Evers for their first victory of the season on Wednesday.  Brooklyn moves to 1-5 overall with the win while the Cougars drop to 0-6-1.

How It Happened
  • BC freshman forward, Rayan Vukovic scored the first two goals of the match in the first four minutes of play, both assisted by fellow freshman, George Koufos.
  • Brooklyn freshman midfielder, Seif Mokhtar, collected a deflected ball and scored the third goal of the match in 14'. 
  • Koufos picked up his third assist of the match, finding freshman midfielder, Adan Khodorkovsky, in 48'.
  • Sophomore midfielder, Bradlej Cupi, joined the party, scoring the final two goals of the match including a highlight header off of a set piece from sophomore midfielder, Yassin Hairane.  Hairane also assisted on Cupi's second goal from distance in 64'.
  • Brooklyn out-shot the Cougars 20-8 for the match. 
For the Bulldogs
  • Vukovic took four shots for the match. 
  • Cupi took five shots with three on-frame. 
  • Junior midfielder, Jordi Hernandez, filled in as goalkeeper and pulled off the clean sheet, finishing with four saves in all 90 minutes of action.
