Brooklyn, NY---Earning their first win of 2024, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team rolled to a 65-27 conference victory at home over Lehman on Friday.  Brooklyn improves to 7-6 overall and 2-1 in CUNYAC with the win while Lehman drops to 3-10 and 2-1 respectively.

• Brooklyn remains home for another conference match-up against Hunter College on Wednesday, January 10, at 5pm. 

How It Happened

• Brooklyn jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first five-plus minutes of play and never looked back.  Senior forward, Sarah James, scored the first ten points of the contest to start the run.    
• The Bulldogs held the Lightning to single-digit scoring in three of the four quarters for the game. 
• Lehman committed 34 turnovers for the contest with Brooklyn scoring 38 points off of turnovers on the evening. 
• Ten out of the fifteen Bulldogs played scored. 

For the Bulldogs

• Sarah James led the way with a game-high 18 points and grabbed 10 boards for her first double-double of the season while scoring her season-high.  She also came up with four steals.
• Ericka James added 11 points and grabbed six rebounds.
• Alina Estrella chipped in eight points and came up with four steals.
• Anna Kitch grabbed nine boards in the win.
