Game Recap: Men's Soccer | | M.E.V.

BC Men's Soccer Has CUNYAC Setback at CCNY

RANDALL'S ISLAND, New York ------ Coming into another conference matchup, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team would face their fifth conference opponent in a row in the City College of New York Beavers. Unfortunately, an early goal would be the defining goal that would put the game away 1-0.

The Bulldogs (3-9-1, 2-2-1 CUNYAC) lose their second conference match in a row, while the Beavers (4-5-3, 4-0-1 CUNYAC) continue to roll in the conference in a complete turnaround of last season.

City College would jump off to an early lead, as Roderick Garrido would hit an early strike for his first goal
of the season, allowing them to go up 1-0 in 3'.

Brooklyn would attempt to respond back with a shot from George Koufos that was saved in 12'.

Brian Perea was able to make a save of his own for the Bulldogs, the only one of the half, just a few minutes later in 16'.

The Beavers continued to pour on the attack, giving the Bulldogs the biggest scare of the half since the goal with a shot that hit the post in 38'.

Brooklyn would have one more clear opportunity to score in the second half, as Adam Khodorkovsky was denied in 49'.

The Bulldogs goalkeeper would be a bit busier in the second half, stopping two headers, the first one in 63'. The most impressive one would come off a set piece from a corner kick that looked to be a potential goal, before Brian Perea made yet another save in 76'. He would have 4 total saves for the night, keeping the score at 1-0.

Up next, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team comes back home to Brooklyn College Field to face off against the York College Cardinals on Saturday, October 19 at 12:00pm.
