Bulldogs Lose War to Knights

GLENSIDE, Pennsylvania ------ Coming into Saturday afternoon's non-conference match, the Brooklyn College women's volleyball team looked to extend their win streak of five games as they travelled to face an evenly matched Arcadia University Knights. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned, as the Bulldogs would lose the battles in three sets [19-25, 18-25, 17-25] through a valiant effort.

The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (10-9) stay with a winning record despite the loss, while the Arcadia University Knights (11-12) improve their record to get one step closer to an even one.

How It Happened

With Brooklyn trailing 16-9 in the first set, they would put together a 7-0 run to tie the game at 16-16, thanks to a couple of bad sets, attack errors and kills from 3 different Brooklyn players.

Arcadia would retake the lead after a 3-0 run, but Brooklyn would climb back to tie it, before a 6-0 Arcadia run would put the first set, that featured 6 tied scores, out of reach 25-19.

In the second set, the Bulldogs would get as close to trailing by just 1 point, but the Knights took control from the very beginning to take it 25-18.

Brooklyn would be the ones to take an early lead, giving them hope, but as the score was tied for the 8th time this set at 16-16, they could not hold on, losing the lead in the third set and the game 25-17.
