Hoboken, NJ---After rolling to their first win of the season on Wednesday, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team suffered a 63-41 non-conference setback at Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday. BC moves to 1-2 overall with the loss while Stevens picked up their first win, improving to 1-2. Next Up: Brooklyn looks to bounce back on the road at Kean University on Tuesday, 11/19, at 5:30pm. How It Happened
- Brooklyn reached the scoreboard first on the evening with a Dior Dorsey free-throw make before the Ducks responded with a 15-1 run. The Bulldogs broke their scoring drought on a Noha Khalifa make in the paint with 4:12 left in the first period.
- Stevens led by as many as 18 points in the second period before BC junior guard, Sandra Diaz, buried a three to cut the Ducks' lead to 26-14 with 2:51 to go in the first half. The Ducks responded with a three of their own to take a 29-14 halftime lead.
- BC opened the second half on a 4-0 run before the Ducks took full control of the contest, grabbing a 55-31 advantage heading into the fourth period.
- The home team shot 37% from the field for the game while limiting the Bulldogs to 22.1% shooting. Brooklyn did finish with a 7-3 advantage in the three-point makes.
For the Bulldogs
- Junior guard, Anna Kitch, paced all BC scorers with 9 points on 3-6 shooting from behind the arc. She also grabbed 9 rebounds on the evening.
- Dorsey chipped in 7 points and came up with 4 steals.
- Freshman forward, Danae McMullen, chipped in 6 points on 2-4 shooting from the field.
