Brooklyn, NY---Led by freshman guard
Ameea Daniel's game-high 22 points, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team pulled out their second win at home over Rowan University, 73-71, on Friday. BC moves to 2-3 overall with the non-conference win while the Profs drop to 1-2. Next Up: The Bulldogs have a over a week off from games before hosting New Jersey City University on Monday, December 2, at 6pm.
How it Happened
- Clinging to a 67-66 lead with just under two minutes to play in regulation, BC junior guard, Dior Dorsey, drained a clutch three-pointer to give the Bulldogs a two-possession lead. The Profs would cut the Brooklyn lead to two on the next possession, but Dorsey responded again with a made jumper with :23 left. Rowan knocked down a desperation three just as time expired for the final score.
- With the Bulldogs trailing 55-50 with a little over a minute to play in the third period, BC closed it out with a 4-0 spurt capped by a Daniel fast-break finish.
- Brooklyn would by as many as eight points in the first half after a 10-2 run sparked by a Dorsey lay-in and capped with 3:55 to go in the second period.
- It was a tightly contested game that included 11 ties and five lead changes.
- The Bulldogs shot 7-17 from beyond the arc to Rowan's 5-24.

- Daniel shot 8-12 from 8the floor including 3-4 from three for her game-high in points. She also grabbed 7 rebounds, came up with five steals, and dished out three assists.
- Dorsey added 17 points and dished out three assists.
- Junior guard, Anna Kitch, chipped in 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
