HOBOKEN, New Jersey ----- Coming into a non-conference game on the road, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team looked to end the year on a good note against the Stevens Ducks. Instead, they end the first part of the season with a two-game losing streak.
The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (3-7) have now lost the last six matches to the Stevens Ducks (7-2), who are off to a great start this season.
How It Happened
A three-point shot by the Bulldogs would bring them within one point with a 6-5 score two and a half minutes into the game, before the Ducks would go on a 12-0 run that put them in the driver's seat with 11:55 to go in the half.
A fast break layup would bring Brooklyn within eleven, but Stevens would end the half on a 7-0 run to close out halftime up 42-24.
The Bulldogs short run to bought them to fourteen, but the Ducks would proceed to go on an 8-0 run to go up 50-28.
Stevens would go up by as many as 31 points, while the Brooklyn College bench would be contributing most of the effort.
The Ducks would go on to win the game by twenty, taking a commanding lead and never letting go to win it 74-54.
For the Bulldogs
- Malik Dale led the attack with 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist on 5 of 16 shooting, includng 3-for-9 from three-point range.
- Jaden Casanova was right behind him with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals with an efficient 5 of 7 shooting.
- Gabriel Barker would play extensive minutes off the bench, having a near double-double with 8n points, 9 rebounds, 1 block, and 2 steals on 3-for-7 shooting.
