Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped their conference opener at home, 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-15), to Baruch at the West Quad Center on Thursday. Brooklyn moves to 3-3 overall with the the CUNYAC loss while the Bearcats improve to 2-6 overall in their conference opener.

- Brooklyn heads north to play in a non-conference trimatch against host, Elms College, and SUNY Potsdam on Saturday. The Bulldogs will take on Potsdam at 1pm followed by Elms at 3pm.
How It Happened
- With the score tied, 3-3, early in the opening set, the Bearcats took the lead for good beginning with a four-score rally. Trailing 16-6, the Bulldogs did go on a 7-2 run, but the Bearcats put together a three-score rally to keep Brooklyn at bay for the remainder of the set.
- Baruch rallied for four straight scores to grab a comfortable 16-7 lead and eventually take a 2-0 advantage in the match.
- The visitors opened the third set with three unanswered scores and kept a cushion from that point on to close out the match.
- Baruch hit .348 as a team to the Bulldogs' .051. The Bearcats' Jack Centeno put away a match-high 11 kills, came up with six digs, and served up a pair of aces.
For the Bulldogs
- Aaron Siu led the way offensively with a team-high nine kills. He also came up with four digs.
- David Lema set for a team-high 15 assists.
