Chicopee, MA----The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference matches in a trimatch at Elms College on Saturday, falling to SUNY Potsdam, 3-1 (25-14, 23-25, 25-13, 25-15, and the host, 3-1 (17-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-7). Brooklyn moves to 3-5 overall with the losses.

In their first match of the afternoon against SUNY Potsdam, the Bulldogs would the match by taking the second set after a slow start in the first. Brooklyn rallied for six straight scores capped by an Aaron Siu kill to take a 24-23 lead before winning the set on a Potsdam service error. However, the Bears would regroup and finish off sizeable early leads in the next two sets.
The Bears did an exceptional job protecting the net for the match finishing with 12 blocks as a team. Potsdam's Duncan Tenhagen put away a match-high 15 kills.
Brooklyn freshman outside hitter, Aaron Siu, led the way with a team-high 14 kills and 10 digs. Ali Zandani served up two of BC's four aces for the match.
The Bulldogs seemed to have bounced back right away, jumping out to an 11-5 lead in their second match of the afternoon against Elms. Brooklyn was in control the entire first set, closing it out on 4-0 run including three Siu kills. However, the host responded in the second set thanks in part to a late seven-score rally. Despite some resistance from the Bulldogs in the swing set, Elms put together enough short runs to take a 2-1 lead before cruising in the fourth set for the victory.
Siu added 11 kills and nine digs to his day against Elms. Sophomore middle, Jason Lin contributed eight kills. Sophomore outside hitter, Tommy Min, came up with a team-high 13 digs to go along with six kills.
