Bulldogs Fall at Division II Dominican in Exhibition

Orangeburg, NY---The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-9) decision in an exhibition match at Dominican University (NCAA Division II) on Tuesday.  The Chargers improve to 8-4 overall with the win in their first year as a program.  Next Up: BC returns to their CUNYAC slate at home against York College at the West Quad Gymnasium on Thursday at 6pm.  

How It Happened
  • The Chargers opened the match with a 5-0 run and closed out the first set with a four-score rally.  
  • Brooklyn hung in with DU early in the second set before the home team pulled away following a three-score rally to take a 24-16 lead.  Brooklyn did make one last stand with a three-score rally including kills put away by Jason Lin and Jiaian Flanders.  However, the Chargers evetually took the second set on a kill. 
  • Dominican opened up the third set with a five-score rally and never looked back to run away with set and match.  
For the Bulldogs
  • Giorgi Tchincharauli led the way offensively with three kills.
  • Lin finished with a two blocks while putting away a pair of kills. 
  • Alvaro Gonzalez led the way defensively on the ground finishing with a team-high six digs.
