Bronxville, NY----The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team bounced back from their first defeat of the season by beating Sarah Lawrence, 3-1 (25-13, 24-26, 25-19, 25-23), in their first match on the road this season on Sunday. BC improves to 3-1 overall with the non-conference victory while the Gryphons drop to 0-5.

- Brooklyn returns home for a non-conference match against Bard College on Feb. 8 at the West Quad Gymnasium at 7pm.
How it Happened
- Brooklyn jumped out to a 4-0 lead including three straight aces served up by David Lema and never looked back in the first set.
- Despite BC getting out to a 3-0 lead in the second set, the home team rallied for four straight scores to tie the match, 1-1.
- Thanks in part to a late three-point rally capped by a kill put away by Omar Shawki, Brooklyn was able to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
- With multiple lead changes most of the way through the fourth set, BC went on 4-0 run down the stretch capped by a Shawki kill to eventually secure the match.
For the Bulldogs
- Aaron Siu led the way with a match-high 16 kills while also coming up with four digs.
- Jason Lin put away eight kills and finished with a pair of blocks.
- Lema set for a match-high 33 assists and served up a match-high five aces.
