Brooklyn, NY---Despite a late rally in the deciding set, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team wasn't able to dig themselves out of a 13-6 hole, eventually falling to Bard College, 3-2 (25-19, 24-26, 25-19, 17-25, 11-15), on Thursday at the West Quad Center. Brooklyn moves to 3-2 with the non-conference loss while Bard improves to 4-4 in victory.

How It Happened
- Brooklyn jumped out to a 3-0 lead to start the fifth set before Bard used a four-score rally to take a 6-5 advantage. After BC evened the score, 6-6, the Raptors scored seven unanswered points. Trailing 14-7, Brooklyn made one last stance with a four-score rally capped by a pair of Aaron Siu kills that cut the lead to 14-11. However, Bard won the match on a kill for the final point.
- The Bulldogs controlled the opening set, grabbing a 15-8 advantage that started with Siu putting away a kill and then serving up a pair of aces.
- Taking a 24-20 in the second set, the Bulldogs were on the verge of taking a 2-0 lead in the match before Bard stormed back with a six-point rally that evened the scored, 1-1.
- BC bounced back in the third set, beginning with a 4-1 run that began with a kill put away by Jason Lin. Clinging to an 11-10 lead Brooklyn pulled away beginning with a six-score rally that included a pair of David Lema service aces.
- Bard rolled out to a 5-1 advantage to start the fourth set and never looked back.
- The Raptors hit .191 to Brooklyn's .161 for the match. Brooklyn was the better team at the service line finishing with 15 aces to Bard's nine.
For the Bulldogs
- Siu finished with a team-high 14 kills, came up with 10 digs, and served up four aces.
- Lema set for 39 assists, came up with 14 digs, and served up a pair of aces.
- Tommy Min put away 12 kills and came up with 10 digs.
- Lin finished with 10 kills and five blocks.
