Bulldogs Fall Short at Lehman

Bronx, NY---The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-11, 28-26) decision in CUNYAC play at Lehman on Tuesday.  BC falls to 5-10 overall and 1-4 in the conference while the Lightning improved 6-8 and 4-2.

  • BC returns home on Thursday for a CUNYAC match against CCNY at 7pm at the West Quad Gymnasium 
How It Happened
  • Despite leading 25-24 in the back-and-forth fourth set, the home the team mustered up a pair of kills to retake the lead and eventually close out the match with back-to-back scores.  
  • After a slow start in the first set, the Bulldogs stormed back in the second, thanks in part to a four-score rally sparked by a Tommy Min kill and capped by an Armand Kaloshi kill as the Bulldogs grabbed a 23-19 advantage that they wouldn't relinquish.  Brooklyn's momentum wouldn't last long as the Lightning jumped out to a 3-0 lead to start the third set and cruised from there to take a 2-1 advantage in the match.  
  • Lehman was the more efficient team on the evening committed 19 hitting errors to the Bulldogs' 33.  LC's Ray Rodriguez put away a match-high 16 kills.  
For the Bulldogs
  • Freshman outside hitter, Aaron Siu, led the way with a team-high 14 kills while also coming up with 17 digs for a double-double.
  • Min finished with 7 kills and came up with 13 digs.  
  • Freshman libero, Alvaro Gonzalez, came up with a tea-high 20 digs.
