Madison, NJ----Extending their win-streak to three to close out the regular season, the Brooklyn College men's tennis team scored a 5-4 non-conference victory on the road at FDU-Florham on Friday. BC improves to 10-6 overall with the win while the Devils drop to 2-11. It is the Bulldogs' first victory over the Devils since 2015 in the last five tries. Next Up: Entering the CUNYAC Championship Tournament Semifnals as the No. 2 seed, Brooklyn will host No. 3 Hunter College on Sunday, 4/28, at the USTA National Tennis at 2pm.
Brooklyn would take a 2-1 lead with the completion of doubles matches. At the top-flight,
Ryan Sham and
Craig Pazarecki pulled out an 8-6 victory.
Mordecai Lev and
Allen Mardakhayev gave BC their first win of the afternoon with a convincing 8-1 result at No. 3 doubles.
Sham went undefeated on the day at the top-flight, winning (6-0, 6-1) in singles. Lev and Mardakhayev would also win their singles matches at the No. 5 flight (6-4, 6-2) and at the No. 6 flight (6-0, 6-0) respectively.
