Throggs Neck, NY----Despite a solid effort, the Brooklyn College women's soccer fell to Maritime, 1-0, on the road in both teams' 2024 Season Opener.  The Bulldogs will look to bounce back at St. Elizabeth on Tuesday at 4pm.  

How It Happened

• Maritime's Sara Williams scored the game-winner in 76' off of rebounded shot-save.  
• Just a minute before the game-winner, Brooklyn freshman midfielder, Audrey Jane Young, had a shot that was saved by the Privateers' keeper.  
• Brooklyn out-shot the Privateers 10-6 in the second half with Maritime finishing the match with a 14-13 edge including 9-7 in shots-on-goal.

For the Bulldogs

• Young finished with three shots for the match, all on-frame. 
• Freshman midfielder, Chelsea Gonzalez, finished with a team-high four shots including a pair on-goal.  
• Freshman keeper, April Hartje, finished with a match-high eight saves in all 90 minutes of action.
