Bulldogs Roll to Third Straight CUNYAC Win Over CCNY

Brooklyn, NY----With five players reaching double-figures in scoring on the evening, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team cruised to an 86-28 conference win over CCNY on Friday at the West Quad Center.  BC improves to 9-9 overall and 5-2 in CUNYAC with the win while the Beavers drop to 1-11 and 1-6 respectively. Next Up: Brooklyn returns to the road in conference play at Baruch on Tuesday at 5:30 pm. 

How It Happened
  • Brooklyn took complete control of the contest from the opening tip beginning with an 11-0 run.  Booklyn would head into halftime with 47-6 lead following a made three buried by BC guard, Victoria Kantzian, at the buzzer.  
  • The Bulldogs scored 45 points off of 24 CCNY turnovers on the evening. 
  • BC limited the Beavers to 19.6% shooting from the field including just over 11% from behind the arc. 
  • 11 different Bulldogs scored on the night.   
For the Bulldogs
  • Audrey Waldvogel scored 13 points on 4-6 shooting from the field, dished out 6 assists, and came up with 5 steals. 
  • Aleah Rafat added another 13 points on 6-9 from the field.  
  • Dior Dorsey finished with a double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.  She also dished out 5 assists.  
  • Brianna Gutierrez added 12 points and came up with 4 steals.  
  • Kantzian came off of the bench to finish with 11 points while knocking down 3 three-pointers on the evening.  
  • Danae McMullen came off of the bench to finish with a game-high 14 rebounds. 
  • Ameea Daniel also reached double-figure rebounding, finishing with 10 boards to go along with 8 points.
