Brooklyn, NY----Despite leading by as many as 15 points early in the second half, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team wasn't able to hold off late run, eventually falling to Lehman College, 63-61, in conference play on Friday at the West Quad Center. Brooklyn moves to 9-11 (4-5 CUNYAC) with the loss while the Lightning improves to 14-6 (8-1 CUNYAC). Next Up: Brooklyn remains home on Tuesday for a chance to bounce back against Hunter at 7:15 pm.
How It Happened
After a back-and forth between teams, Brooklyn would break away and take a slight advantage, taking their largest lead up to that point at ten. The first half would be highlighted by an alley oop slam by Casanova that was perfectly placed in the air by McGill for a thunderous reaction by the crowd with 1:12 to go in the half.
The Lightning were hoping to have the final possession before the closure of the half after sharp reclaim by Dale, Brooklyn surged into halftime with all the momentum, keeping a 34-22 lead.
In a tightly contested second half, Lehman and Brooklyn College traded baskets. Despite Brooklyn's valiant effort and several close attempts, Lehman secured the victory with a narrow edge at the end of the game.

- Malik Dale led the way with a game-high 29 points while shooting 5-10 from behind the arc.
- David McFadden chipped in 8 points while connecting on a pair from beyond the arc. He also grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 6 assists.
- Joe Charles added 5 points and dished out 6 assists.
