BC Men's Soccer Routs Medgar Evers In Conference Play

Bulldogs Gain Third Conference Win Of Season

BROOKLYN, New York ------- Continuing in conference play, the Brooklyn men's soccer seek to remain undefeated in conference play as they went against their cross-borough opponents in the Medgar Evers College Cougars. The Bulldogs would continue their perfect stretch, now not having lost in fourteen years to Medgar Evers College, as they would score all goals in the first half to win 6-0.

The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (8-4-1, 3-0-1 CUNYAC) remain undefeated at home and in conference play, while the Medgar Evers College Cougars (1-8-1, 0-2-0 CUNYAC) continue searching for their first conference victory.

Medgar Evers would have the first real shot at goal off an attack from the right side, as Juan Carlos Solis would be taken by surprise but would react accordingly for his only save of the game at 5'.

Brooklyn would start off strong with an attack from the left wing by Adam Moharam, putting the ball ahead for Clermens Devariste, sending an overhead pass to the box for Andrew Gavrilov to put away at 8' for the 1-0 lead.

Gavrilov would not stop there, as he would then steal the ball on the defensive area, make space with a few dribbles before kicking a rocket to the back of the net that was unstoppable for the keeper to make it 2-0 at 15'.

Emir Imamberdiev would recover the ball at the left side of the midfield, pushing it ahead for a sprinting George Koufos. What seemed like a normal pass would turn dangerous, as the Cougars' goalie would not time his jump and let the ball find Gavrilov for the hat trick 3-0 at 32'. He would have 3 goals on 4 shots with 3 on target.

Nikala Metreveli would come off the bench and immediately make an impact by stealing the ball and putting it away at the 36' to make it 4-0.

Adam Moharam would lead the attack towards the left side of the center midfield to find Koufos once again, only this time he would put a through ball to the feet of Metreveli to make it 5-0 at 40'. Adam Moharam would have 3 assists for the day while shooting 2 shots of his own, while George Koufos would contribute 2 assists.

Just before the half would end, Moharam would steal the ball and immediately find Metreveli with a through ball inside the box to make it 6-0 at 44'. Nikala Metreveli would score 3 goals on 5 shots with 3 on target.

Up next, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team will play their final home regular season game against the City College of New York Beavers on Wednesday, October 15th at 4:00pm.
