Mary Dolgin were recognized on Senior Night. BC improves to 13-11 (9-4 CUNYAC) with the win while the Cougars drop to 3-16 (3-10 CUNYAC). Next Up: Brooklyn wraps up the regular season at CCNY on Tuesday, 2/18, at 5pm, in conference play.
How It Happened
- After Medgar Evers scored the first basket of the second half, Brooklyn responded with a 20-0 run and never looked back from that point on.
- The Bulldogs jumped out to a 10-0 lead sparked by a Dolgin make in the paint and capped by an Anna Kitch layup to start the game. Kitch would go on to score 13 first half points, which included three three-point makes.
- Brooklyn continued to cruise in the second quarter. Junior guard, Sandra Diaz, scored back-to-back layups in the final 35 seconds of the first half, giving BC a 51-18 halftime lead. The Bulldogs shot 45.0% from the field as a team in the first half while limiting the Cougars to 17.1%.
- BC knocked down 8 threes on the evening while limiting Medgar Evers to one three-point make.
- 12 different Bulldogs reached the scoring column on the evening.
For the Bulldogs
- Kitch and Gutierrez paced Brooklyn with 16 points each. Kitch shot 4-8 from behind the arc for the game. Gutierrez came up with 4 steals.
- Dolgin chipped in 12 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
- Estrella finished with 9 points and dished out 5 assists without a turnover.
