Riverdale, NY---Earning their second straight win on the road, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team defeated Mt. St. Vincent, 3-1 (22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-18), in non-conference play on Tuesday. Brooklyn improves to 3-3 overall with the win while the Dolphins drop to 0-4. Next Up: Brooklyn continues their road straight with a road trip to the Boston area this weekend where the they will first play in a trimatch hosted by Emmanuel on Saturday. They are slated to play the host at 11am followed by SUNY Polytechnic at 1pm.
How It Happened
- Trailing 19-14 in the opening set, Brooklyn rallied for four straight scores beginning with an Aaron Siu kill to pull within a point. However, the Dolphins retained the lead for the rest of the set to take a 1-0 advantage in the match.
- With the score tied (15-15) in the second set,Brooklyn pulled away beginning with an 8-0 run including a pair of Armand Kaloshi kills.
- Already leading 20-17 in the third set, BC put together three straight kills to take complete control of the set and go up, 2-1, in the match.
- Clinging to a 13-12 lead in the fourth set following an early comeback, Brooklyn kept the lead for good thanks in part to a five-score rally capped by a Siu ace. Brooklyn secured the match from that point on.
- Brooklyn hit .175 to the Dolphins' .040 on the evening. The Bulldogs were also better on the ground defensively, finishing with 43 digs to UMSV's 33.

- Joaquin Calderon put away 12 kills.
- David Lema set for a match-high 31 assists.
