Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College men's tennis rolled to their second straight conference shutout, defeating John Jay, 9-0, on Tuesday at home. BC improves to 2-5 overall and 2-0 in CUNYAC with the win while the Bloodhounds drop to 0-3 and 0-1 respectively. Next Up: Brooklyn looks to keep their momentum going as they host Lehman on Friday, March 28, at 3pm.
BC took a 3-0 lead in the match following doubles play with
Ryan Sham and
Ryan Badre-Hume winning at the top slot, 8-2.
Mujibur Shaad and
Allen Mardakhayev cruised to an 8-0 shutout at No. 2 doubles.
Raymond Kazim and
Dylan Augustin also worked quickly at No. 3 doubles, 8-2.
Sham would then earn a (6-0, 6-2) victory at top-flight singles. Shaad continued to impress at No. 2 singles, skated to (6-1, 6-0) victory. Badre-Hume took care of business at No. 3 singles, (6-0, 6-1). Mardakhayev also went undefeated on the afternoon with a (6-1, 6-1) win at No. 4 singles. Denis Shender scored a straight set victory at No. 5 singles, (6-1, 6-0).
Maximiliano Jarry Monroy rolled to a straight-set shutout, (6-0, 6-0), at the No. 6 slot.
