Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Bulldogs' Win-Streak Stopped at Home

Brooklyn, NY----Winner of their last two matches, the Brooklyn College women's soccer team's streak ended on Wednesday as the Bulldogs fell to Manhattanville, 5-1, at home.  BC drops to 2-2 overall with the non-conference loss while the Valiants recorded their first win of the season to move to 1-3.  Next Up: The Bulldogs continue their homestand on Saturday, 9/13, with another non-conference match at BC Field against Bard College at 1pm.  

Manhattanville struck first on the afternoon as Stephanie Sanchez found the back of the net in 9'.  Deanna Lage gave the visitors a 2-0 lead by halftime with a goal in 39'. 

With the Bulldogs trailing 3-0 in the second half, BC sophomore midfielder, Audrey Jane Young, scored her second goal of the season in 65' on a nice connection from the center of the field to the right wing.  She was assisted by Kaylenn Arias and Gianna DiPronio.  

The Valienats responded with two unanswered goals to close out the match. Manhattanville out-shot Brooklyn 21-1 for the match.  

Brooklyn sophomore goalie, April Hartje, plaed all 90 minutes and finished with 7 saves.
