Purchase, NY----Playing their third straight match on the road, the Brooklyn College women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-14) non-conference victory at Purchase College on Thursday. BC moves to 2-2 with the win while the Panthers drop to 1-4. Next Up: The Bulldogs will look to continue their winning ways at non-conference trimatch hosted by Alvernia this Saturday, 9/13.
Brooklyn came out on fire to start the match, jumping out to a 6-0 lead that included four aces served up by
Amra Mulic. Mulic finished with 6 service aces on the evening to go along with a team-high 11 digs . With the score tied, 18-18, in the first set, Brooklyn grabbed the lead for good beginning with a four-score run including back-to-back kills put away by
Ella Snobar. Snobar led the way on the BC attack finishing with a match-high 9 kills.
The Bulldogs looked even stronger in the second set, taking a 13-3 lead to start.
Ruti Joshi capped a 7-0 run run with one of her match-high 7 service aces.
Chloe Siena closed out the second set with a solo block.
After Purchase scored the first point of the third set, BC responded with an 8-0 rally capped by back-to-back kills put away by
Olivia Fan. Brooklyn scored the last three points of the match ending with a
Meadow Andrews kill. Andrews also finished with 3 blocks on the evening.
