Brooklyn Falls to Sarah Lawrence on the Road

Yonkers, NY---The Brooklyn College men's team dropped their second straight match to start the season on the road on Tuesday at Sarah Lawrence, 4-1.  BC moves to 0-2 with the non-conference loss while the Gryphons improve to 1-1.  Next Up: The Bulldogs look for their first win of the season at home this Friday, September 5, against SUNY Cobleskill at 5pm.  

SLC's Peter Miles gave the home team a 1-0 advantage in 14'.  Brooklyn responded three minutes later with the equalizer as reigning CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, Andrew Gavrilov, netted his second goal of the season.  He was assisted by senior forward, Nikala Metreveli.  However, the draw didn't last long as the Gryphons scored the game-winner in 23' before taking a 3-1 lead by halftime with another goal in 26'.  

Brooklyn out-shot the home team, 22-11, for the match including 9-7 in shots-on-goal.  Gavrilov took five shots on the evening with three on-frame.  

Juan Carols Solis Cazres played all 90 minutes in-goal for Brooklyn, finishing with three saves on the evening.
