BC Women's Soccer Plays In Western Connecticut

Bulldogs Streak Extends to Five

DANBURY, Connecticut ------ Coming into their second game of the roadtrip, the Brooklyn College women's soccer team looked for answers as they faced a new opponent in the Western Connecticut Wolves. Unfortunately, things would not go their way in their first encounter, as the Bulldogs would fall 5-0 in the game.

The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (2-6-0) extend their losing streak to five games, while the Western Connecticut Wolves (6-3-1) improve their record with a convincing win.

Brooklyn would make two early saves in the game, but would eventually get scored on in a span of two minutes by two different players, with an assisted goal in 13' and a non-assisted one at 14' to make it 2-0.

The Bulldogs would have their best chance through Chelsea Gonzalez who would take the first shot against the Wolves that would be saved to keep the score at zero at 15'.

April Hartje would make 5 more saves before Western Connecticut would eventually breakthrough again for the 3-0 score at 27'. She would have 10 saves in the first half alone.

Two saves later, Western Connecticut would tack on another assisted goal to make it 4-0 at 65' before scoring again in 83'.

Hartje would end up with 16 total saves as the Bulldogs would face a total of 43 shots in the game.

Up next, the Brooklyn College women's soccer team continues on their roadtrip to travel upstate to face the Old Westbury Panthers on Thursday, September 25th at 3:30pm.
