Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College women's tennis team scored a 5-2 victory over York College in both teams' conference opener on Tuesday.  BC improves to 4-3 overall with the CUNYAC win while York drops to 0-2.  Next Up: Brooklyn continues conference play at Albertus Magnus this Saturday, 9/27.  

Brooklyn took the doubles point with Medina Kuc and Oleksandra Shablii pulling out a 6-3 win at the top-flight.  Aniyah James and Kristen Vega scored a 6-0 shutout at No. 2 doubles.  

James then rolled to a (6-0, 6-4) victory at top-flight singles.  Kuc scored a (6-0, 6-0) straight set shutout at No. 2 singles.  Kristen Vega also had a strong showing, winning (6-0, 6-1) at No. 4 singles.
