Chicopee, MA----Brooklyn Men's Soccer picked up their second straight win on Saturday, defeating Elms, 2-0, on the road in their last non-conference match of the regular season. BC improves to 5-4 overall while the Blazers drop to 5-4-1. Next Up: Brooklyn opens conference play against Baruch on Wednesday, 10/1, at Met Oval at 12pm.
The Bulldogs struck early in the match as
Nikala Metreveli scored the eventual game-winner in 8' on an assist from
Andrew Gavrilov. Metreveli scored his second goal of the half in 42' to give BC a 2-0 halftime advantage. Brooklyn continued to control the match in the first half, out-shooting the Blazers, 9-2, in the first 45 minutes of play.
Brooklyn really buckled down on the defensive end in the second half to score their second straight shutout of the week. BC goalie,
Wilson Munoz played the majority of the second half, not yielding a goal while coming up with a pair of saves.
