Phoenixville, PA----After winning their home opener on Wednesday, Brooklyn College Women's Soccer picked up their second straight win at the University of Valley Forge on Saturday. BC improves to 2-1 overall with the non-conference win while the Patriots drop to 1-2 on the young season. Next Up: Brooklyn is back home on Wednesday, 9/10, against Manhattanville at 3pm.
In a hard-fought match, the teams played to a scoreless first half. Brooklyn did control the tempo, out-shooting the Patriots 9-4.
Brooklyn sophomore midfielder,
Julissa Chino, broke tie and scored the game-winner in 51'. The Bulldogs continued their aggressive offensive attack finishing th match with an 18-5 advantage in shots taken.
Chino's goal came on her only shot of the contest. Sophomore forward,
Gianna DiPronio took a match-high 6 shots for the match with three on-frame. Sophomore keeper,
April Hartje had her second straight clean sheet, finishing with two saves in all 90 minutes of action.
