New York, NY----Remaining undefeated in 2026, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team rolled to a 64-40 conference victory at Hunter College on Wednesday. Brooklyn improves to 6-9 (4-1 CUNYAC) overall with the win while the Hawks drop to 2-14 (0-5 CUNYAC). Next Up: BC will look to keep their momentum going in the right direction at home on Friday against John Jay at 7:15pm.
Brooklyn opened the second half on a 10-4 run highlighted by three-point makes buried by
Thomas Hall and
D'aze Hunter. The Bulldogs would go on to lead by as many as 27 points in the second half.
The Bulldogs got off to a hot start right out of the gate, grabbing a 13-1 lead in the first six minutes of action.
Jordany Martinez scored the first two buckets for Brooklyn. A
Muneer Ibrahem three-point make gave BC their first double-figure lead of the contest. However, the Hawks did claw their way back into the game by closing out the first half on an 8-0 run.
Brooklyn's defense forced 21 Hunter turnovers on the evening, which resulted in 24 points. The Bulldogs held Hunter to 24.6% shooting from the field on their home floor for the night. BC shot 50% (4-8) from behind the arc in the second half.
Hunter led all scorers with 11 points while shooting 3-5 from behind the three-point line. Hall and
Abdoulaye Gueye added 10 points each.
Tyler Gordon grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with 6 points.
