Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Brooklyn Men's Basketball Falls to Conference-Leading Lehman

Brooklyn, NY----Despite knocking down seven three-point field goals as a team in the first half, the Brooklyn College men's basketball wasn't able to sustain their hot shooting as the Bulldogs fell to Lehman College, 91-65, on Friday at home.  BC drops to 6-12 (4-4 CUNYAC) with their third straight loss while the Lightning improved to 13-6 (8-0 CUNYAC).  Next Up: Brooklyn will wrap up their non-conference slate at St. Elizabeth on Monday at 7pm.

Falling behind 13-0 to start the game, the Bulldogs got themselves back into the contest with the long-ball as Joe Charles scored their first bucket from behind the arc. Thomas Hall cut the Lehman lead to 20-14 with a three-point make with 10:49 to go in the first half.  The Bulldogs were able to get within a pair of points, 30-28, following a 6-0 run sparked by a Herbert Gary make in the paint.  However, the Lightning kicked their lead back up to 11, 44-33, by halftime.

Lehman opened the second half on a 9-2 run and would extend their lead to as many as 26 points.  Five Lightning players reached double-figures in scoring, led by Tyrese Conway's game-high 24 points off of the bench.

The Lightning shot 55.9% from the field as a team to the Bulldogs' 39.0% for the game.

Charles led the way for Brooklyn finishing with 20 points while shooting a perfect 4-4 from behind the arc.  He also dished out 5 assists.  Muneer Ibrahem chipped in 9 points off of the bench while shooting 3-6 from three-point land.
