Brooklyn Completes Second Half Comeback at Baruch, 75-63

New York, NY----Trailing by as many as 13 points in the second the half, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team came all the way back to defeat Baruch College, 75-63, on the road on Friday.  Sweeping the regular season series with Baruch, Brooklyn improves to 7-12 overall (5-4 CUNYAC) with the conference win while the Bearcats drop to 8-12 (5-4 CUNYAC).  Next Up: Brooklyn returns home for a conference borough bout with Medgar Evers on Tuesday, 2-3, at 7:15 pm.  

With the home team holding a 44-31 advantage with 18:12 to go in regulation, the Bulldogs made their move beginning with an 18-5 run to tie the game, 49-49, following a D'aze Hunter three-point make with 12:26 left in the second half.  He would then give Brooklyn their first lead of the game, 51-49, since the 15-minute mark in the first half on a layup on Brooklyn's next offensive possession.  Baruch tied the game for the last time, 53-53, with 9:53 remaining before Brooklyn grabbed the lead for good beginning with a 7-1 run.  

Still clinging to a three-point advantage, 62-59, with 4:36 to go in the second half, Brooklyn took their first double-figure lead of the contest following a 7-0 run.  A Joe Charles three-point make with 1:14 left in regulation put the nail in the coffin for the Bulldogs as they ended the contest with their largest lead of the game.  

Brooklyn trailed by as many as 15 points in the first half, outscoring Baruch, 49-25, in the final 20 minutes of the game.  The Bulldogs shot close to 49% to Baruch's 36% in the second half.  

Leyi Adebayo paced Baruch with 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  

Hunter and Charles scored 21 points a piece to lead the Bulldogs offensively.  Hunter shot 3-4 from beyond the arc for the game while also finishing with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.  Charles came up with a game-high 5 steals.  Junior guard, Abdoulaye Gueye, chipped in 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
