Brooklyn, NY----Playing in their second match in as many days, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team got themselves back in the win column on Thursday night, defeating Mt. St. Vincent, 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 23-25, 25-14), at the West Quad Center. BC moves to 2-2 overall with the non-conference victory while the Dolphins drop to 1-2. Next Up: Brooklyn will look to keep their momentum moving in the right direction at home next Thursday, 2/5, against St. Elizabeth at 6pm.
Though Brooklyn would take an early lead in the first set, they would lose that lead up until the middle of the set, where the tide would turn through
Aaron Siu when it was his turn to serve. Half of his service aces would come during this span, taking a 15-11 lead. Mount Saint Vincent would come back and tie it, but just when Brooklyn needed to create distance, they would do so late in the set with six straight points, including a set-sealing kill by Siu to take the set 25-18.
