New York, NY----Winning their second game in as many days, the Brooklyn College women's basketball rolled to an 86-25 conference victory at CCNY on Friday. BC improves to 19-3 (11-0 CUNYAC) while the Beavers drop to 5-15 (3-8 CUNYAC). Next Up: Brooklyn contiues conference play at John Jay on Wednesday, February 11, at 6pm.
Despite playing their second game in less than 24 hours, the Bulldogs came out energized from the opening tip-off, jumping out to a 15-0 lead to start the contest. Brooklyn closed out the first quarter with a 22-7 advantage following an
Adunoluwa Akinduyi three-point make. Brooklyn would go on to take a 44-13 halftime lead.
The Bulldogs shot close to 55% from the field as a team in the third quarter to maintain a 71-23 lead over the Beavers heading into the final period.
Brooklyn scored 49 points off of the Beavers' 40 turnovers on the evening.
Thirteen different Bulldogs scored in the game led by
Anna Kitch's team-high 11 points. She also grabbed 7 rebounds and came up with 4 steals.
Brianna Jackson added 9 points, dished out 4 assists, and came up with 4 steals.
Jessica Herft scored 9 points off of the bench.
