BC Men's Volleyball Gets Back on Track at York, 3-0

Jamaica, NY – The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team delivered a dominant performance on Thursday evening, defeating York College (NY) in straight sets (25-12, 25-14, 25-16) on the road.  With the win, Brooklyn improves to 9-6 overall, while York falls to 2-13 overall and 1-5 in conference action. Next Up: BC makes the short trip to Medgar Evers on Tuesday for a doubleheader with Medgar Evers beginning  at 6:30 pm.  

Brooklyn controlled the match from the outset, hitting an efficient .356 as a team while limiting York to a -.048 hitting percentage. The Bulldogs set the tone early with a .407 attack percentage in the opening set and never looked back, cruising to a three-set sweep.

Leading the offensive charge was Matthew Kadatskiy, who recorded seven kills on nine swings without an error for an impressive .778 hitting percentage, while adding three service aces and three total blocks for a match-high 12.0 points. Aaron Siu also contributed eight kills on a .538 hitting clip, while Gabriel Minchala added six kills and three aces.

Setter Miguel Trejo orchestrated the offense with 23 assists, guiding Brooklyn to 37 total kills. Lior Amromin chipped in with three aces and a team-high six digs, while Waleed Alamri added eight assists in a balanced distribution effort.

Defensively, Brooklyn totaled four blocks and 28 digs, maintaining steady pressure throughout the match.

York was led by Alexis Ramirez, who tallied six kills, while Brian Kim contributed across the stat sheet with six assists, one ace, and six digs. However, the Cardinals struggled offensively, committing 15 errors and failing to generate consistent momentum against Brooklyn's defense.

The Bulldogs never trailed in any set, showcasing control and consistency from start to finish. Brooklyn held York to 12 or fewer kills in each set and forced 13 reception errors.
