Box Score 2 Randall's Island, NY----The Brooklyn College softball played to a conference split with Hunter College on Monday on the road. Brooklyn rallied late to win Game 1, 10-5, before falling to the Hawks,10-2 (5 innings), in the second game of the twin bill. BC moves to 11-21 with the split while Hunter goes to 12-24. Next Up: Brooklyn continues their CUNYAC slate on Wednesday at home against conference-leading Baruch with the doubleheader beginning at 4pm at Brooklyn College Field.

Brooklyn College rallied in emphatic fashion with a six-run seventh inning to pull away for an 11-5 victory.
After jumping out to an early 2-0 lead through the first two innings, Brooklyn saw Hunter battle back to tie the game in the second and eventually take a 5-4 lead after five innings. The Bulldogs remained within striking distance before delivering their decisive blow in the top of the seventh.
Brooklyn opened the final frame with aggressive baserunning, as Haylee Burleigh walked and swiped both second and third to set the tone. Addy Cook followed with a single, and Katelyn Young drove in the tying run with an RBI base hit. The Bulldogs capitalized on defensive miscues and timely hitting from there, stringing together five hits in the inning. Victoria Elderbaum delivered an RBI single to give Brooklyn the lead, while Olivia Gonzalez and Lianna Gonzalez added key run-scoring hits, including a two-run double by Lianna Gonzalez that capped the six-run outburst.
At the plate, Brooklyn totaled 12 hits, led by a perfect 4-for-4 performance from Elderbaum with an RBI. Young added two hits and two RBI, while Lianna Gonzalez finished with two hits and two RBI. Olivia Gonzalez also contributed two hits and two RBI in the win.
In the circle, Kureshma Dhanraj started and went five innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits while working through nine walks. Jessica Bowe earned the victory in relief, tossing two scoreless innings and allowing just one hit while stranding four runners.
Hunter was limited to six hits for the game with Giordana Bowen leading the way with two hits and an RBI.
Brooklyn's defense overcame three errors, while Hunter committed five errors that proved costly, especially in the decisive seventh inning.

Hunter broke a scoreless game open in the second inning, capitalizing on a Brooklyn error to plate three runs. The Hawks maintained that 3-0 advantage into the fifth before the Bulldogs mounted a brief rally.
Brooklyn put together its best offensive frame in the top of the fifth, scoring twice on four hits. Jazlyn Roberts delivered an RBI single to get the Bulldogs on the board, and Olivia Gonzalez followed with a run-scoring hit to cut the deficit to 3-2. However, Hunter responded emphatically in the bottom half of the inning.
The Hawks erupted for seven runs on five hits in the fifth, highlighted by a two-run homer from Sonia Rosales Rosenthal and a two-RBI single from Bowen, to pull away and secure the 10-2 victory.
Roberts and Gonzalez each drove in a run for Brooklyn, while Vida Rodriguez and Elderbaum also contributed hits in the effort.
In the circle, Bowe (6-6) was charged with the loss, tossing 4.0 innings, allowing nine runs (seven earned) on nine hits. Dhanraj appeared in relief. Hunter's Abigail Bidinger (7-8) earned the win, striking out six over five innings while allowing just two runs.
