Anthony Chan Named BC Male Student-Athlete of the Month - September
Anthony Chan, a second year member of the Brooklyn College Men’s Cross Country team, is off to a fantastic start to the 2011 season for the Bulldogs.
In BC’s three races during the month of September, Chan has been the first Brooklyn runner to cross the finish line on all three occasions.
On September 11th at the Baruch College 8K Invitational, Chan ran a time of 30:49, good for 14th place overall in the field of 97 runners, en route to earning a medal.
Chan once again posted a top-15 finish a week later at the Queensborough Community College Invitation, as the Flushing, NY native finished the 8K course with a time of 30:37.1, good for a 13th place finish out of 88 runners.
Following his performance at the QCC Invite, Chan would go on to be named the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
In the final meet of the month, at the Hunter College 5K Developmental Meet, Chan posted an 18th overall place finish out of 146 runners with a time of 18:10.
For his efforts, Anthony Chan has been named the Brooklyn College Male Student-Athlete of the Month, for the month of September.
