Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Tennis Team (10-4, 8-1 CUNYAC) closed out regular season conference play with an 8-1 win over Staten Island (5-10, 2-4 CUNYAC), extending their winning streak to five matches.  

The win was the team's 10th of the season, tying last season's win total.  

Ruth Perez (EBC Bushwick / Brooklyn, NY) dominated CSI's Taylor Moran (Tannersville, PA), 6-0, 6-0, in a #2 singles match, while reigning CUNYAC Player of the Week Nadine Alexander (Boys & Girls / Brooklyn, NY) cruised by Fabiana Ianuzzi (St. Joseph Hill / Staten Island, NY) by the same score in #3 singles.

Erika Gil (Fort Hamilton / Brooklyn, NY), Amalea Sideris (St. Demetrios / Astoria, NY) and Diana Derks (Herlong / Franfurt, Germany) each won their singles matches in straight sets as well.

Next up for BC will be a road match at Sarah Lawrence College on Wednesday, October 14th, before heading into the CUNYAC Tournament, beginning next Tuesday, October 20th.
