Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team (5-3) routed St. Joseph's College Brooklyn (4-4) on Tuesday evening by a score of 77-46. The defense was exemplary, forcing 27 turnovers and holding the Bears to 29% shooting, while not allowing any individual to score more than 8 points.
The win was the Bulldogs 4th straight and their largest margin of victory on the season.
On the offensive end, Brooklyn was led by
Frances Lyons (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY), who scored 20 points and grabbed 9 boards in only 18 minutes of play.
Amber Gordon (Bishop Loughlin / Brooklyn, NY) had another big game, scoring 16 points, hitting on 5 of 9 from the field and shooting a perfect 6 for 6 from the charity stripe.
Priscilla Ramirez (FDR / Brooklyn, NY) had team-highs with 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks, while
Ariel Smith (Wallkill / Newburgh, NY) led the squad with 4 steals.

The team will look to make it 5 in a row on Saturday as they go on the road to play Skyline foe Bard College at 6 pm.
