Men's Tennis Drops Opener To Farmingdale, 7-2

Farmingdale, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis Team (0-1) dropped their first match of the 2009 season, losing a 7-2 decision to Farmingdale State College on Tuesday afternoon.  

For Brooklyn, #1 singles player Elliot Hirsch (Yeshiva of Flatbush / Brooklyn, NY) won his match over Farmingdale's Joe Passarella (Holy Cross / Flushing, NY), 6-4, 5-7, 10-1.

The #3 doubles pair of Clark Jean-Baptiste (Northwestern, Haiti / Brooklyn, NY) and Vesna Tan (New Utrecht / Brooklyn, NY) teamed to defeat Bill Jimenez (West Islip / West Islip, NY) and Theo Gioles (Wantagh / Wantagh, NY) of Farmingdale, 8-5.

Brooklyn will resume play on Friday as they host the defending CUNYAC champs, Baruch College, in their home and CUNYAC opener.
