Hawks Fly Past Bridges in Men's Tennis

Box Score

Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis Team (0-2, 0-1 CUNYAC) dropped a 9-0 decision to Hunter College (5-0, 3-0 CUNYAC) on Tuesday afternoon.  The match was played at Brooklyn's Roosevelt Courts.

Hunter took all three doubles flights at the start of the day.  Brooklyn's tandem of Elliot Hirsch (Yeshiva of Flatbush / Brooklyn, NY) and Ben Forberg (Marymount (Italy) / Brooklyn, NY) gave the Hawks' Max Segon and Roy Forberg all they could handle at Number One Doubles, eventually falling 8-6.

On the singles side, the first set  of the Number Six flight went to a tiebreaker as Andre Gonzalez downed Vesna Tan (New Utrecht / Brooklyn, NY) 7-6.  Gonzalez then finished off the match with a 6-0 second set triumph to complete the Hunter sweep.

The Bridges next play on Thursday March 26th, traveling to Rutgers-Newark for a non-conference match beginning at 5:00 pm.
