Newark, NJ --- The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis Team (2-8, 2-6 CUNYAC) dropped a 6-3 non-conference decision to Rutgers-Newark on Thursday evening.  Junior Johnny Rolando (Abraham Lincoln / Brooklyn, NY) was a bright spot for the Bridges, earning victories in both his singles and doubles matches.

Rolando teamed with Vesna Tan (New Utrecht / Brooklyn, NY) to defeat the Scarlet Raiders tandem of Franklin Osakwe and Brendan Francisco by a score of 8-4 at Number Two Doubles.  In singles action, Rolando blew past Gafar Ayinde 6-0, 6-2 in the Number Two flight.  

The Bridges return to action on Friday, travelling to Bard College for a non-conference tilt scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm.
