Brooklyn College Invitational Results

Bronx, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Cross Country team hosted its annual Brooklyn College Cross Country Invitational today at Van Cortlandt Park, finishing the 11-team field in sixth place with 155 team points. John Jay College of Criminal Justice placed first overall, accumulating 50 team points. 

Lehman College's Irfan Anwar bested the field of 89 runners coming in first overall. 

Brooklyn senior Arvind Badhey (Syosset, NY/Syosset) was the first BC runner to cross the finish line coming in at 25th place, while the trio of senior Adman Metzler (Rochester, NY/East High), sophomore Anthony Chan (Flushing, NY/Archbishop Molloy) and freshman Tariq Williams (Brooklyn, NY/Bedford Academy) ran neck-and-neck throughout the race coming in at 31st, 32nd and 33rd place, respectively. Junior Oluwadare Ayoola (Lagos, Nigeria/Tog Grade) rounded out the scoring for the Bulldogs coming in at 40th place. 

Purchase College (65 team points) and CCNY (132 team points) rounded out the top three schools. 

Brooklyn will be back in action next Sunday, October 17th when the Bulldogs return to Van Cortlandt Park to take part in the York College Invitational. The meet is set to begin at 11:00 am.
