Results

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Swimming and Diving Team (0-2, 0-2 CUNYAC) gave the Bulldog fans something to cheer about on Wednesday as they won the first race to take place on the Midwood campus since 2004.  The 200 Medley Relay Team came from behind to claim a first place finish in the event.  Lehman (1-3, 1-0 CUNYAC) would go on to win the meet 83-63 but the West Quad was filled with energy as the first-year Bulldogs gave a great effort in their first home meet.

The relay team that opened the meet in winning fashion was made up of Megan Pendergast (Warwick / Warwick, NY), Catherine Chan (Townsend Harris / Flushing, NY), Valentina Monroy (Edward R. Murrow / Brooklyn, NY) and Marisa Paolillo (Leon M. Goldstein / Brooklyn, NY).

Monroy also won the 200 Freestyle event, finishing 11 seconds ahead of the second place finisher from Lehman. In the 100 Butterfly, Monroy finished first once again, capping off her impressive evening in the pool.

The Bulldogs will continue to try for their first win of the season as they travel to York on Thursday to take on the Cardinals at 6:00 pm.
