Flushing, NY --- In its 2010 season opener, the Brooklyn College Men's Tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to the Bearcats of Baruch College in CUNYAC action this afternoon at the US Tennis Center. The Bulldogs fall to 0-1 (0-1 CUNYAC) on the season, while the Bearcats improve to 2-0 overall (2-0 CUNYAC).
The highlight match of the afternoon came in number one singles between freshman
Anthony Chan (Flushing, NY/Archbishop Molloy) and Marcelo Kim. Kim would take the first set 6-2, before Chan came back strong to take the second set 6-4, forcing a third set. Kim would eventually top Chan in a hard fought battle, 10-7.
The Bulldogs are back in action this Tuesday, March 23rd when they play host to CUNYAC rival Hunter College. Match is scheduled for a 4:00 pm start.
