Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis team dropped a non-conference match to the Panthers of Purchase College this afternoon, 6-3. With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 6-7 overall on the season, while the Panthers even their record to 6-6 on the year.
For the Bulldogs, senior
Johnny Rolando (Brooklyn, NY/Abraham Lincoln) and freshmen
Matthew Micharlsen (Garden City, NY/Garden City) and
Judah Hirsch (Brooklyn, NY/Magen David Yeshivah) all won their respective singles matches.
Rolando easily took care of Matthew Plen, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while Micharlsen defeated Blake Whitacre, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 singles and Hirsch downed Chris Matchneer 7-5, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.
Brooklyn will be back in action tomorrow, Saturday, April 24th, as the Bulldogs will play host to Bard College in the regular season finale. BC men's tennis seniors will also be honored before the match as part of Senior Day celebrations. Start time is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
