Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis team dropped its 2011 season opener to City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) rival the College of Staten Island earlier today by a score of 7-2. With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 0-1, 0-1 CUNYAC, while the Dolphins begin the season 1-0, 1-0 CUNYAC.

The match of the day came from the #4 singles flight between Brooklyn's Raymond Chan and CSI's Bobby Hargraves. Chan began the match by taking the opening set, 6-2, however, Hargraves would come back to win the second set, 6-3, forcing the third and deciding set. Hargraves would eventually edge out a 10-5 win in the final set to take the match.

Brooklyn will be back to action on Thursday, March 17th, as the Bulldogs will travel up to Purchase, NY to take on the SUNY Purchase Panthers. The match is scheduled for a 4:00 pm start.
