Staten Island, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis team fell to the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island earlier today in a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) match by a score of 8-1.
With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 1-4 overall on the season and 0-2 in the CUNYAC; while the Dolphins improve to 2-3 overall on the year and 1-0 in conference play.
CSI took an early 3-0 advantage after sweeping through doubles play. Brooklyn would be unable to recover from its early deficit, as the host Dolphins would continue to take control of the match by taking home wins in five of the six singles flights en route to their 8-1 victory.
Sophomore
Cheyne Tribbey took home the lone win of the day for BC, defeating Oscar Wu 6-1, 6-1 at #5 singles.
Brooklyn returns to the court on Friday, March 30th, as the Bulldogs will play host to the reigning CUNYAC Champion Hawks of Hunter College. The match is scheduled for a 3:30 pm start at the Roosevelt Courts on the BC campus.
